WORKING AT HEADQUARTERS
The role of the ICRC is to direct and coordinate the international activities conducted by the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement in armed conflicts and other situations of violence. Our headquarters is located in Geneva, Switzerland, and provides a diverse environment for: 1) some 1,000 staff; 2) more than 160 different functions; 3) over 120 nationalities. Together, we act in response to emergencies to protect and assist the people affected, and we promote respect for international humanitarian law.
