Deliver humanitarian aid in challenging environments

We operate in some of the world’s most complex and dangerous contexts, ensuring that people affected by conflict receive essential aid. From food, water, sanitation and shelter to medical supplies and equipment, we see to it that relief reaches communities even where infrastructure is damaged or absent.

Ensure reliable and agile supply chains

Nearly a quarter of ICRC staff work in logistics, covering every link of the humanitarian supply chain. We design and run agile, reliable and adaptable systems that deliver aid on time, no matter the operational challenges.

Overcome barriers to reach the most vulnerable

Despite security risks, political constraints, destroyed infrastructure or remote locations, our teams find ways to navigate these obstacles. By doing so, we make sure life-saving aid arrives safely, where it is needed most.

Maximize humanitarian impact through coordination

Whether through legal counsel or diplomatic engagement, we help shape the commitments, frameworks and practices that determine how conflicts are fought and how humanitarian assistance reaches those in need. Our work ensures that humanitarian principles are embedded in law, policy and action.
