The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral, and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance. The ICRC is mandated to work in countries affected by armed conflict or other situations of violence. The ICRC is present in over 100 countries and has 18,000 staff worldwide. In 2014, the ICRC expanded its presence in Ukraine. Over 700 team members work across the county in various professional fields.
ABOUT THE JOB
The ICRC ICT Unit seeks a competent Information & Communication Technology Specialist (ICT) to join our team in Odesa. In close cooperation with the team members and line managers, the ICT Specialist will mainly be responsible for installing, maintaining, and managing ICT systems and services, and providing first and second level support to ICT users in the area of responsibility defined by his position.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Portal Management: Enforce the use of the ICRC service portal for ICT requests and incident reporting, ensuring adherence to established processes.
- Request & Incident Handling: Process user requests and incidents promptly, monitor the status and attribution of ongoing requests, and ensure timely resolution.
- Inventory Management: Update the ICT inventory after every change in attribution or device intervention, strictly following SOPs, and participate in regular physical inventory checks.
- Equipment Diagnostics & Repairs: Diagnose malfunctioning equipment, decide whether to repair on-site, send for external repair, or proceed with disposal, following SOPs for repairs and disposal processes.
- Assist with on-site cybersecurity tasks: By following established protocols, monitoring potential threats, promoting user awareness, and reporting incidents to ICT management.
- User Support and Training: Brief, advice, and train end-users on ICRC ICT systems and equipment to ensure effective utilization.
- Installation and Repairs: Install, configure, maintain, and repair all IT hardware (desktops, laptops, printers), network infrastructure (LAN, SDWAN, wireless access points), telecom equipment (VHF radios, Starlink terminals, satellite phones, unified communication devices), and power backup stations (batteries, inverters). Ensure all work aligns with ICRC technical standards and operational procedures.

ABOUT YOU
To be successful as Information & Communication Technology Specialist (ICT) in the ICT Unit, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:
- Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, electronics, computer science, telecommunications, or similar field
- 3-4 years’ of troubleshooting experience in an area of the ICT service catalogue (telecommunications, IT, help desk, etc.)
- Good command (both spoken and written) of English and Ukrainian
- Capacity to adhere to and to implement procedures
- Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
- Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
- Ability to work independently, as well as effectively under supervision
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
