ABOUT THE JOB

 

The ICRC Finance and Administration (F&A) Unit seeks a competent Finance and Administration Manager to join our team in Dnipro. This role is the Head of the Finance and Administration Department in Dnipro. The Finance and Administration Department covers the area of finance management/accounting, office management, accommodation, and travel & events. Each area has its dedicated staff, and the F&A Manager will be responsible for providing financial information and guidance to colleagues and management of Dnipro office and their coaching and guidance to ensure the services provided meet the expectations of the organization. Moreover, s/he will regularly interact with the other departments of the Dnipro office.

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Explain institutional guidelines and policies, ensure they are strictly applied in compliance with ethical standards, the internal procedures, and mitigate financial risks
  • Responsible for the expense and payment validation
  • Coordinate and manage the structure’s fund and liquidity, in collaboration with all parties concerned, and provide reliable forecasts for the expenses
  • Control and monitor the accounting records and budget implementation
  • Responsible for the management of the staff accommodation
  • Responsible for the management of the staff travel
  • Responsible for leading the negotiations, and communication with both authorities and commercial parties (suppliers, banks, etc.)
  • Responsible for the management of the admin team, coaching, support, and providing guidance
  • Support establishing and updating the Risk Assessment, implement and monitor risk-mitigation measures in the area of responsibility, drawing up contingency measures to respond to critical changes

ABOUT YOU

To be successful as F&A Manager in the F&A the Work Unit, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics: 

 

  • Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
  • University degree in business administration, finance/accounting, human resources, hospitality management or any similar field
  • 6 years confirmed practical experience in finance, management or human resources, including at least 1 year of managerial experience
  • Experience in an international working environment, abroad or with an international organization/development agency is a strong asset
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, Ukrainian, Russian
  • Team leadership & people management skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
  • Ability to work independently, as well as effectively under supervision
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
